3 years LL.BR V Bidap Law College offers a bachelors degree in Law after the completion of basic graduation.

 

Eligibility for Application

Graduate of any faculty, with minimum 45% for general candidates, 40% for SC/ST Candidate.

 

Procedure for Admission

  1. Admission to the courses will be based on merit
  2. All admissions are provisional and are subjected to sanction of eligibility of KSLU
  3. All students seeking admission shall apply in the prescribed form issued along with prospectus.
  4. Incomplete forms will not be considered
  5. Students should submit all the documents in original
  6. The full fee as described in the fee structure should be paid
  7. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory as per KSLU rules.

Programme Outcomes(PO’s) of LLB:

  1. Legal Knowledge: demonstrate a sound understanding of foundational legal principles, doctrines, and concepts across various areas of law, including but not limited to criminal law, contract law, constitutional law, and tort law.
  2. Legal Research Skills: proficient in legal research methodologies, including the ability to find, analyze, and interpret legal sources such as statutes, case law, and legal literature.
  3. Analytical and Critical Thinking: develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess legal issues, apply legal reasoning, and propose solutions to legal problems.
  4. Communication Skills: effective communicators, both in written and oral forms. This includes the ability to draft legal documents, present legal arguments, and communicate complex legal concepts to diverse audiences.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO) of LLB:

  1. Knowledge of law: A professional should be thorough with the fundamentals of law and also be acquainted with the latest developments in the areas of specialization and should have abilities to apply the knowledge to solve problems and advise institutions and also individuals. Intellectual input is the essence of this autonomous profession.
  2. Professional ethics: A law graduate should have strong underpinnings of professional ethicsin order to belong to the noble profession.
  3. Knowledge of basic social sciences: Law is related to other social sciences like history, economics and Political science etc., A knowledge of interplay of these disciplines is essential for a law graduate.
  4. Knowledge of procedures and processes: This is very important for a professional to be effective. The channels of remedy and the procedure to obtain the remedy should be knownto the graduate.
  5. Social relevance of law; Law is an instrument of social change; to bring about desired socialchange one has to study law in social relevance.
  6. Knowledge of public affairs: Law graduate should be thoroughly acquainted with the knowledge of public affairs in order to discharge the obligations of the independent profession.

The faculty records the performance of each student with the help of the specified course outcomes through a continuous evaluation process. Key indicators of measuring attainment are:

 

End Semester University Examination Students are required to take examinations as per the semester through which the institution measures programme outcomes based on the course attainment level fixed by the programme.

 

Internal Assessment the Internal Assessment constitutes 30% weightage of the total marks (100) in each subject. The students are given assignments which are designed in alignment with Course outcomes of the respective subject and Programme Outcomes.

 

Result Analysis at the end of each semester, result analysis of each course is carried out. The percentage of students falling in different categories is obtained. This is an effective indicator in order to evaluate the level of attainment of POs, PSOs and Cos. Internships and Placements: Students are encouraged to take up internships, projects, fieldwork, etc. The Placement Cell of the Law School helps the students to get placed in esteemed companies, Law Firms and Offices of the Judges etc. This helps them to obtain necessary skills and practical experience in their area of interest.
